They learnt to play a brilliant funk piece called Pass the Peas by James Brown (based on a D minor pentatonic scale), and had a lot of fun in the process. Students pushed themselves outside their comfort zones with many trying improvisations for the first time, and some playing in front of peers for the first time. Very well done to all involved, but in particular well done to Aurora, Winter, Aaron, D'Angelo, Kaiya and Prudence for being prepared to have a go at a solo!
