The Year 11 students excelled once more in core subjects, achieving high proportions of top grades in English, Maths and Science.  26% of students were awarded level 9 in English and 25% of students received either grade 8 or 9 in Maths; 94% of students achieved a strong pass (5 and above) in both English and Maths.  In all three sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics - an astonishing 79% of students achieved grades 7-9.

Martin Jones, Headteacher, said, “These excellent results are a testament to the students’ hard work and commitment, as well as the expertise and dedication of our entire staff team. Our students are well-prepared for their post-16 studies, and we look forward to celebrating further successes as they embark on their IB courses with us in September.”

There were many individual success stories - some of the highlights include:

• Michaela Murphy was awarded ten grade 9s and a grade 8, and will study higher level Chemistry, English and Maths.
• Nia Ryan was awarded ten grade 9s and a grade 8, and will study higher level Chemistry, Maths and Biology.
• George Randall achieved nine grade 9s and will study higher level History, French and Global Politics.
• Valerie Czarnecka was awarded eight grade 9s and will study higher level Geography, Biology and Art.
• Sky Koster achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 8 and will study higher level Chemistry, Philosophy and Spanish.
• Gabriel Hillier-Bowman was awarded eight grade 9s, two grade 8s and a grade 7 and will study higher level Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
• Oliver Jones achieved seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and two 7s and will study higher level Music, Maths and Physics.
• Skylor Chapman achieved seven grade 9s and will study higher level Maths, Film and Physics.
• Sama Bugren was awarded seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7 and will study higher level Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
• Hala Boshnaq was awarded seven grade 9s and two grade 7s and will study higher level English, Global Politics and Philosophy.
• Alfie Bowley achieved seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7 and will study higher level History, Maths and Physics.
• Jemima Topping achieved seven grade 9s and three grade 8s and will study A levels.
• Mary Nash achieved five grade 9s and three grade 8s and will study higher level Chemistry, Biology and French.
• Cameron Melloy was awarded five grade 9s and two grade 8s and will study higher level Chemistry, Biology, Maths.
• Louis Carmichael-Mhanna was awarded five grade 9s, two grade 8s and two grade 7s and will study Psychology, Philosophy and Biology.
• Faye Elliott achieved five grade 9s and four grade 8s and will study higher level Chemistry, Biology and English.
• Harrison Martin was awarded five grade 9s, three grade 8s and two 7s and will study higher level Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
• Finn Newton achieved five grade 9s and four grade 8s and will study higher level Art, Maths and Physics.
• Denholm Crotty achieved three grade 9s and five grade 8s and will study higher level Physics, Maths and History.
