    On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November 2023, our Sixth Form debate team attended a Model UN conference at Queen Elizabeth's School in Faversham. This experience built alliances and friendships and increased our students' knowledge of politics and international relations.  Special congratulations to Eniola who won an honourable mention award as one of the star debaters in the competition!

  • 'Lectures for the Open-Minded Programme' Launched

    Today saw the launch of our new 'Lectures for the Open-minded Programme': a weekly programme of guest lectures featuring talks from top university academics, leading professionals and Dane Court alumni students. Our first lecture was delivered by DCGS alumni Tom White and Bella Sabin-Dawson who discussed their work on the exciting rewilding projects run by Kent Wildlife Trust. Upcoming talks will include a lecture on 'Politics and the Theatre' by Dr David Taylor of St Hugh's College, Oxford University and an introduction to medicine and diagnosis workshop from Dr Johnathan Ellis, a Consultant Radiologist. 

    Lectures will take place in C9 at 1.15pm every Wednesday. Students will receive a 'Lectures for the Open-Minded' reward card and can earn points towards a free coffee from the Sixth Form canteen!
