Charles_Dickens During the Broadstairs Charles Dickens Festival, Dane Court took part in the Charles Dickens Reading competition run by the Isle of Thanet Gazette. Huge congratulations must go to the winners of the final.

In the Junior category Ben Marshall of 7D won while Gregory Whatley of 8D came second. In the Senior Category Henry Parkinson of 12F came first while Chantelle Cohen of 12D came second.

Kent freedom pass e-petition

MO1L8333 Parents with children using public transport to or from school may be interested in signing a petition currently available on the Kent County Council website. The title is "Extend the Kent Freedom pass to 16-20 year olds" and the summary reads s follows:

We the undersigned petition the council to extend the Freedom pass to 16-20 year olds because the current 11-16 pass works well and the bus companies as well as families benefit.
