Students from year 7 through to year 13 took the opportunity to perform at the annual Dickens Festival on Broadstairs Bandstand on 21 June 2011. A very windy day, the challenges were not only entertaining the large crowd that had gathered but also keeping the music on the stands! Thanks to Kirsty Higbee, Chloe Louise Gaddes, Robert Evans, Elias Votta, Etienne Avisse Brown, Dominic Bent, Jonathan Ward and Cameron Taylor for jazzin' the afternoon away.
During the Broadstairs Charles Dickens Festival, Dane Court took part in the Charles Dickens Reading competition run by the Isle of Thanet Gazette. Huge congratulations must go to the winners of the final.
In the Junior category Ben Marshall of 7D won while Gregory Whatley of 8D came second. In the Senior Category Henry Parkinson of 12F came first while Chantelle Cohen of 12D came second.
