Spurred on by the success of the girls, the equally quick boys side, competed in the Kent Under 14 Rugby Sevens bowl annual competition held at Dartford Grammar. Some excellent running rugby saw the team qualify undefeated into the semi finals, scoring 94 points and thanks to the excellent defence spurred on by the tackling of Joe Wyatt, they conceded just 12 points.
The semi finals saw victory over Kemnal Technology school and a date with Charles Dickens in the final. Charles Dickens acquitted themselves well, taking the physical battle to the heart of Dane Court's defence. But Dane Court held strong and like the games previous, they quickly released their electric pace in the form of Tom Halfpenny and the power running of captain Daniel Adams, who led the team home with a 19 - 12 victory.
It was a great day and the boys showed that they had gas to burn, coupled with some great defensive tackling and counter rucking; I am very proud of the achievements of both our teams.
